Klara ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Klara collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our Android mobile application ("App").

1. Data Collection and Usage

1.1. No Data Collected Without Consent

If the user has not explicitly granted permission to share data with OpenAI, no user data is collected or stored. All usage remains local to the user's device. If the user uninstalls the app, all data is permanently removed.

1.2. OpenAI Data Sharing (User Consent Required)

When the user consents to AI-powered features, Klara processes recent usage data from the last 5 days and sends it securely to OpenAI's API for language-based analysis. These include screen content and app interaction context to provide intelligent summaries and responses.

1.3. Limited Retention & User-Controlled Deletion

The collected data is automatically deleted after 5 days. Users may manually delete either individual records or all stored data at any time within the app.

1.4. Accessibility Service

Klara uses Android Accessibility Service to read on-screen content only when explicitly enabled by the user. This is used solely to extract context and assist the user in capturing their on-device activity.

1.5. Query All Packages Permission

This permission allows Klara to identify which apps are installed on your device. This helps filter relevant content and improve AI memory accuracy. App names and package information are used solely within your device unless OpenAI data sharing is enabled.

1.6. Anonymous Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage in an aggregated and anonymized way. No personally identifiable data is shared. Additionally, Firebase Crashlytics is used to detect app crashes and improve stability.

2. Subscription and Monetization

Klara is free to use with core features. Some advanced features are limited in the free version. We offer two types of subscriptions:

• Monthly Premium
• Yearly Premium

Premium unlocks additional functionality and extended AI features. The app contains no ads.

3. User Rights

You have the right to:

• View what data is stored (if any)
• Delete any or all of your data
• Withdraw OpenAI sharing consent at any time
• Use the app locally without sending data to any external service

These options are accessible within the app settings menu.

4. Data Sharing

• We do not share or sell your data to advertisers.
• Data is shared only with OpenAI when permission is given.
• We do not collect names, emails, contacts, or any personal identifiers.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If significant changes are made, we will notify you in the app or via other available means.

Welcome to Klara. By using our mobile application ("App"), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using Klara.

1. Use of the App

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Klara.
• You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any device or account used to access the app.

2. Features and Access

• Klara offers both free and premium features.
• The free version includes core functionalities but may be limited in features or usage.
• Premium subscriptions are available on a monthly or yearly basis and unlock extended features.
• We reserve the right to modify features or restrict access to certain functionalities at any time.

3. User Data and Privacy

• You may use the app without sending any data externally, unless you opt-in to share data with OpenAI.
• Data shared with OpenAI is limited to the last 5 days of usage and is deleted automatically thereafter.
• You may delete your data at any time through the in-app settings.

4. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Klara and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our app or its content without written permission.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including a breach of these terms.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will always be secure, error-free, or available at all times.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Klara or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the app.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app following the updates indicates your acceptance of the new terms.
